M.A.R.T.A. (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)
A designated shuttle will transport passengers from the arrivals level of the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal ground transportation center, which includes a MARTA train station. To get to the Hyatt, take M.A.R.T.A. to Peachtree Center Station (located on the same line as the Airport station). When you exit the train, simply follow the signs to the Hyatt, which is connected to the station via an indoor walkway.

Weather
July is a rather humid month in Atlanta. The average temperature in July is 89 Fahrenheit (31.7 Celsius) but can occasionally exceed 100 Fahrenheit (38 Celsius). Light clothes are recommended, but long sleeve shirts/cardigans/jackets come in handy for the air-conditioned indoor facilities.
Conference Attire
Appropriate attire for ICSM2012 is business casual including the Welcome Reception and Banquet at the Georgia Aquarium.
Electricity
In the United States the 2-flat-pin plug and the North American 3-pin plug are commonly used. The voltage used throughout the United States is uniformly 120 volts, A.C. at 60 Hz.
Currency and Foreign Exchange
The local currency is the US dollar. American money comes in bills ($1, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100) and coins (1c, 5c, 10c, and 25c). Major currencies, such as the EURO can be exchanged at most international airports, major banks, major hotels, and some ATMs with a major credit card such as Visa or MasterCard.
Traveler's Checks and Credit Cards
Traveler's checks are accepted by leading banks and hotels in major cities. International credit cards such as American Express, VISA, Diners Club, MasterCard and JCB are also acceptable at these major establishments.
Tip
Tipping is customary in the United States. For restaurants with table service, tipping 15%-20% of the bill for good service is customary, more for exceptional service. For buffet restaurants with limited table service, a tip of 10%-15% of the bill is recommended. Leaving a $2-3 tip each day in your room on your pillow or in a similar obvious place for housekeeping is also common.
